What is the dosage and how should it be used?

USAGE

Meclizine comes as a regular and chewable tablet and in capsule form.

For motion sickness, meclizine should be taken 1 hour before you start to travel. Doses may be taken every 24 hours if needed.

For dizziness caused by an ear condition, follow your doctor's directions.

Take meclizine exactly as directed by your doctor, and never take more or less of it or take it more often than what has been prescribed to you.

DOSAGE

For the prevention and treatment of nausea, vomiting, and/or vertigo associated with motion sickness, the usual oral dosage of meclizine hydrochloride in adults and children 12 years of age or older is 25–50 mg once daily or as directed by a physician.

For the prevention of motion sickness, 25–50 mg of the drug may be given 1 hour before exposure to motion.

For the control of vertigo associated with diseases affecting the vestibular system, the usual adult dosage is 25–100 mg daily, administered in divided doses.

However, always take meclizine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
