Meclizine begins working about one hour after ingestion. It continues being effective for 8 to 24 hours.

Meclizine is sold under numerous commercial names, including Dramamine II®, Dramamine Less Drowsy®, Antivert®, Bonamine®, Bonikraft®, Emetostop®, Medivert® and Sea-Legs®.
